Looking for hangover cures? Lifeline Hangover defence helps slay those horrible hangovers - But here are some extra tips to help you feel better the morning after:
Hangover cures:
1. Always hydrate yourself - Although Lifeline Hangover defence removes the nasty toxic by-products of alcohol and replenishes lost Vitamins, the alcohol itself has a diuretic effect, causing your body to become dehydrated. Therefore it is important to rehydrate in addition to Lifeline to utilise it's positive effects. *TIP* Drink a pint of water before you retire to bed and one first thing in the morning to prevent dehydration. Sports drinks are always a good idea, as they have electrolytes specifically aimed to rehydrate you.
2. Try not to mix drinks - Ok, it is easier said than done after a few drinks, but it has been widely acknowledged that by sticking to one drink, you can ward off some of the pain the morning after.
3. Stick to the clearer liquids. As a rule, hangovers are less severe after drinking Vodka's, Gin's etc. (i.e clear alcohol rather than opaque).
4. Always take Lifeline Hangover Defence within an hour of your first drink (only one dose needed - how many other hangover cures can say that and still be this good) - The longer you wait to take it, the less effect it will have on you! (Take it during consumption - not an hour before)
5. Always catch up on sleep - Sleep is just one of those things that can't be artificially achieved. If you are searching around for hangover cures, chances are you already feel bad! Always aim for 7-9 hours of restful sleep. If you've had a late night and only get a few hours sleep, then try having a nap later in the afternoon (45 minutes is optimal). You will be amazed how great you will feel after a short nap!
.....If you follow these steps in conjunction the Lifeline Hangover Defence, then Hangovers will never trouble you again!
Hangover cures are handy, but here is what you should AVOID:
Aspirin - Can cause stomach irritation when combined with alcohol, and lead to complications such as an ulcerated stomach.
Acetaminophen (also known as Tylenol) and Paracetemol - Although often used to dull the agony, stay away from painkillers as they can overwork an already overworked liver when consuming alcohol and cause liver damage.
Exceeding 28 (or 21 for females) units of alcohol per week - These are safety guidelines put in place to drink safely. We would advise you follow them, as Alcohol can cause irrepairable damage to your body.
Caffeine - Although this can perk you up in the short term, Caffeine further dehydrates your body and means it will take you longer to recover.
Hair of the dog - You know why :)
